Withdrawal symptoms

Ack!

I'm suffering from Michael Ware withdrawal. I haven't seen him in days.

Where has that feisty little banana bender got to?

I'm guessing some of them are due for a break after the past few weeks.

Actually, I can't bear to listen to him - that accent!!!! Thankfully we don't all sound like that.

Ah, susie, let me guess. Inter-provincial rivalry? The Victorians look down on the banana-benders because of their accent? We do that kind of thing, too, except with us I guess everybody just generally laughs at Newfoundlanders, although I think their accents are pretty cool. And French Canadian accents are a whole category on their own.

And I don't say "oot" for "out" and "aboot" for "about" no matter what rattansifan might tell you.

Don't you?? But thats the only way I can tell a Canadian from a Yank!!! so if I ever get to speak to you, how will I know your're not an American??

Oh, we look down on Queenslanders for all sorts of reasons - how long have you got?

"Normal-sounding English"? What is that? I know I don't sound American. I know an American when I hear one, and I don't sound American.
Plain old genric North American, I suppose.
