We do that kind of thing, too, except with us I guess everybody just generally laughs at Newfoundlanders, although I think their accents are pretty cool. And French Canadian accents are a whole category on their own.
And I don't say "oot" for "out" and "aboot" for "about" no matter what rattansifan might tell you.
"Normal-sounding English"? What is that? I know I don't sound American. I know an American when I hear one, and I don't sound American. Plain old genric North American, I suppose.

Actually, I can't bear to listen to him - that accent!!!! Thankfully we don't all sound like that.

Don't you?? But thats the only way I can tell a Canadian from a Yank!!! so if I ever get to speak to you, how will I know your're not an American??
