Now, he WAS a Nazi

“MUMBAI, India (Reuters) -- A restaurant in India's financial hub has agreed to change its name from "Hitler's Cross" following strong protests by the country's tiny Jewish community and pressure from Israel.

"Hitler's Cross," which opened a week ago using posters of the Fuehrer and Nazi swastikas for publicity, initially refused to change its name, but relented on Thursday and covered its signboards with white cloth.

The owners were yet to decide on a new name...”

In related news, the owners of “Mussolini’s Munchies” , “Pol Pot’s Pot Luck Diner” and “Uncle Joe Stalin’s Sweets for the Sweet” are getting nervous.

Which reminds me (ie. barely related aside to follow)
Saw a great POW movie last night: V FOR VICTORY!
It had everything:
An excape from hogan's heroes type POW camp sub-plot.
Max van sydow as a sypathetic nazi guard who proposes a soccer game between the germans and the POW's.
And who should be in that prison but Pele himself! The coach (and striker) on the team is none other than Michael Kane (with his curly hair more distracting than usual). And it's a good thing sylvester stallone was available to play keeper (even tho he's not sure where to stand during the corner kicks)
Guess who wins? Guess who escapes when the team is bused to paris to play the german nationals?

They don't make 'em like that anymore...

Article in paper today (I can't find the link) about a cafe here called Starlyn - lot of complaints about that - it is themed with red stars and the like.

Now I'm confused. A name with the word Arab in it is less scary than Red Star. How mid-20th Century that is.
