I've been in that "I hate boots" mode for the past few weeks...Last week, I went to J's house who lives two streets away...and I thought, "f * *k it, i'm wearing running shoes."...It felt wonderful. Too bad, I cannot wear my work shoes on the street...

Meanwhile, 45C here today - bushfires, power cuts, short tempers....
I'm with Nanuk...this morning, I was walking to the Metro and thought "what a pleasant day." That -5 sure is warm.
As for 45 C...that's just crazy. I certainly hope it does not come with heavy humidity. My temper would be short, too...and I like the heat.

People start to go crazy in that kind of heat, though, I assume the nut who threw his kid off the bridge had other issues besides the heat.
I wore my "lighter" winter coat this morning. What a treat. I did see, though, they are forecasting a MAJOR storm for Tuesday.
And the downtown snow crews are on some kind of mini-strike. How convenient.

Funny, just this morning, as I was trudging along, I thought: I'm sick of wearing boots!

No, not humid - that would be too much!!! In fact, it hasn't rained properly here for about 6 weeks, so its very, very, dry.
