The Benediction
Wow, that was the funkiest blessing I have ever heard.
I wish I was black.

Well, the alarm went off here in downtown Melbourne at 3.30am....luckily I have a TV in my bedroom so watch it all without having to get up (I did not follow your advice Nanuk and pull a sickie - had a couple of hours sleep and trundled into work)
Good speech. Aretha sang 'God Save the Queen' with different words and sorry Aretha, you was awful! As for the hat.....! Oh, the benediction was a sensation! Still trying to make up my mind about the poem, but will hunt down the text and have a read. Michelle and the girls were stylish and funky. I couldn't believe that crowd and all the happiness and tears - sensational. Now, Obama just has to actually do something!
