I Return

from the suburbs of the Holy City.

Did not do much in Toronto as my sis, who insists on playing sports despite her advancing years (ha), pulled a Michael Owen and twisted her knee on the soccer field. Thus, we stayed home most of the weekend, while she iced it, elevated it, etc. etc. We stuck to sitting in the back yard, chatting. It was tough.

Freakin' hot and humid in Toronto these past few days, I must say.

Please explain to a humble Aussie what is meant by the term holy city for Toronto?

Your weekend with sister - did the chatting in the backyard involve alcohol?

No shoes, but we did go to Winners and I bought 2 sweaters. I was exhausted from half an hour's shopping.

Susieq, I think only the Mushrooms family call Toronto the Holy City. I picked it up from them. But all Canadians know that Toronto is the centre of the universe and only things that happen in Toronto matter. Everywhere else is unimportant.
