Quotation of the Day

From William Carlos Williams:

It is difficult
to get the news from poems
yet men die miserably every day
for lack of what is found there.

From Rutger ("Roy Batty") Hauer, Nexus-6 Replicant and poet manque:

"I've seen things you people
wouldn't believe. Attack ships
on fire off the shoulder
of Orion. I watched sea beams
glitter in the dark
near the terhausen gate.
All those moments will be
lost in time like tears
in the rain.
Time to die"

(OK OK OK so I spent the weekend w/the dvd of the 2007 so-called final cut of "Blade Runner" including a long, deliciously long documentary about the making of inwhich ridely fights the moneymen and the crew, harrison tries to help sean young act, and rutger discusses his muse--

that is one effing great movie!)
