From the Indian Chip News Desk

Our intreprid reporter, grocery shopper and chip aficionado, JAW Fan, writes in:

"Went grocery shopping on Saturday...Curry Lays are in fact available here (didn't see no wasabi chips, however).

Naturally, I had to buy a big bag. They were tasty in the sense that I had to eat the entire bag; however, am not certain they would be my first choice when I have a chip craving. In the Indian potato chip department, I think I would choose Tandoori Sizzlers over Curry Lays. Of course, if Curry Lays were served at a party, I wouldn't turn my nose up at them."

Oh, and for the record, they were called Spicy Curry which was sadly misleading (spicy by white Canadian standards, I assume.)

At least Tandoori Sizzlers live up to their name.

But, hey, don't let my criticism stop anyone from sampling them. After all, they are a chip and they do have a curry flavour.

hey we are still getting used to the novelty of dilled pickle or salt and pepper chips--curry flavour might make it across the prairies in a decade or so

(note to nanuk: your spell-checker objects to the canuk spelling of "flavour"!)

The "Spicy" Curry Lays remind me of some samosas I used to get from an Indian grocery store, so I have a sentimental attachment to them.
