Very interesting. I don't live in a trailer, but I do live in NC and have bought weed from people who do but I can honestly say that I've never heard that expression before. My husband is a little more familiar with the redneck culture, so I'm going to have to ask him.
Both my remotes are black, so I cannot comment on silver ones.

I love any Sedaris story that includes his brother Paul because you know there are going to be some interesting low-life characters in Paul's circle of acquaintances. It's so hard to believe they are brothers.
