Big news: The Banana Splits are coming back. Will it be as druggy as the original? Will I care? I dunno. But I'm glad they haven't been forgotten. Can H.R. Puf'n'Stuf be far behind?

From TV.COM: Danger Island was a live-action, cliff-hanger adventure serial that aired in short segments as part of the Banana Splits Adventure Hour in the 1968-1969 TV season. It produced the catch phrase "Uh oh, Chongo!" which became popular among children who watched the Saturday morning show. It is also notable for introducing a young Jan-Michael Vincent to TV viewers, as well as for being one of the early directorial efforts of Richard Donner, who went on to direct such popular feature films as Lethal Weapon and Superman II.

Of course, I don't remember that. And I only remember the theme song because I watched it on YouTube in the past couple of weeks.
