For the first time in history, I have paid my taxes before JAW Fan pays his. This is only because he is out of the country, but I can guarantee that next Monday he will be at bank, relieving himself (!) of this bill. O, how he hates an unpaid bill.

I wouldn't talk - I think your side of the tracks is winning on that front! I'm not going to that McDonalds anytime soon! And the boys hangin' by the depanneur really are boys with popsicles and such unlike some other hoods I know...

I remember a gang war in Montreal, back in the 80s, and Pulse News would report some body dumped under a bridge or something, night after night, like no biggie, and then on to party politics and the Habs.
I was weird. Because it was just sort of understood that it wasn't a problem to the general population. Just to the rival criminals who were getting wacked.
Those were the days.
Also, the subway cost a nickle.
