I'm Back

I return from Thanksgiving weekend with a backpack full of leftover ham and turkey. But I didn't eat that much. My belly doctor would be proud of me.

Temperature leaving Toronto: 32 C
Temperature arriving Montreal: 12 C.

I'm goin' in the wrong direction.

I didn't realise you guys celebrated Thanksgiving - why?

Why celebrate it?...because turkey is delicious.

Of course, our family went to Chinatown for supper...because turkey takes too damn long to cook!

Why celebrate Thanksgiving? Um... because like our American cousins, we too must celebrate the fact that we landed here and stole all that native land, killed off a lot of natives with disease and still treat them like dirt! All these reasons = pumpkin pie!

Oh, sounds like the kinda thing we did! We have Australia Day and its in January, which means most people go to the beach.

Oh yeah - pumpkin pie - North America, where a vegetable is turned into a dessert.....
