Just wondering

Why aren't Americans pouring into the street and demanding the resignation of Dick Cheney?

Is he setting a precedent? Will future Veeps assume they are above all laws and unaccountable to anyone?

I'm discouraged about the level of apathy among our neighbours.

Not to be argumentative here, but who exactly are we supposed to demand his resignation from? Dubya? Our worthless reps in Congress? Believe me, if there was anyone who gave a damn about what the American people wanted, we would be knocking down their door, pleading for deliverance!
I think what you perceive as apathy is really resignation, hopelessness. There is no one to appeal to, no one who will do anything. Our Constitution gives us the "right" to overthrow the government should it become a detriment to the American people. But that document is as worthless as used toilet paper now, and the people posess no power to demand change. But still, if there were an Impeach Dick bandwagon to jump on, I'd be there with bells on!

I get it. I'm really disappointed that the Democrats have not done anything worthwhile since gaining control of Congress. What a bunch of cowards.

Maybe you can appeal to the UN to send in forces to rescue all of you.
