S h a v e d P u s s y C a t

I took Miss Hitler in for her bum shaving. She is now fresh as a Spring daisy.

Once again, I was astounded to hear the groomer describe her as "wonderful", "so playful", "a sweetheart" and "a delight". I keep repeating "that's great!" but I was thinking "WHO are you talking about???"

I guess it is better than having a normally pleasant cat misbehave in public, but it's so weird.

I was speaking to someone the other day who was telling me about pet insurance – and how he had taken out a policy on his dog in anticipation of steep vet bills as it gets older. Am I the last person to know about this concept? I guess it makes sense in our sophisticated-electronic-diagnostic era. Somehow I now feel justified in my ‘no pets’ policy. Of course, I also have a ‘no children’ policy so clearly I’m just a mean person.

But pet health insurance is expensive, isn't it?
When I adopted the 3 amigos from the shelter, they had a one-month insurance policy,in case they were "defective" ha ha, they weren't. And I've been paying through the nose for them ever since.

Nice title...I'm 5 : ) Anyhoo, pet insurance has been around a while and it varies in cost. I don't have any animals after the last critter went because I have a roomate who is allergic. But it's changing alot...this year my workplace as part of it's benefits package offers pet insurance! Along with people and dental...almost makes me want to run aout and get another pet! Ecept this is a really great roommate....

I had a feeling that in California pet insurance WAS available as part of family insurance, but I was not 100% sure so I didn't mention it. But, there ya go, there's my proof. thanks.

Where I work we have "dependency allowance" which basically means if you have kids, you are paid more. I've always felt this is terribly unfair because you are doing the same job, you should get paid the same. I get paid less because I don't have kids. That's wrong. But I argue that I have 3 dependents. And I do. And none of them can work for a living. They don't know how to catch mice.
