Goin' South

I am off to sunny, warm Florida in the early morning for a brief mental health break. The whole family is going this time. So it should be interesting. The oldies and the young 'uns.

I shall leave this as the "open thread"  as the pro's say in the blogging world, so you may discuss bacon to your heart's content in my absence.

Back next weekend, hopefully suntanned and definitely bloated with American snacks. Wise Chips, here I come.

Speaking of which, I actually ate bacon this morning (which I rarely do)...so, let the bacon debates begin!

My niece's boyfriend wants to go to IHOP while we are in the USA, so I may eat bacon this week, too.

bacon, bacon, bacon
can no one speak up for sausage?

Sausage is good, too. I am pro sausage. Ham, I am not fond of at breakfast. But sausage? Sure.

Unrelated, what do people think of that Berry Pomegranate Mio commercial. It makes me feel like I am on drugs. But it does make me curious about the product, so I guess it is effective.

Well, have a great time Nanuk and maybe try out some samosas too?? (I love a good samosa!!!)

My company (for whom I have just 6 weeks left to work for before I am booted out) makes Mio. Yes, the commercial is interestingly surreal. The product itself is probably all chemical, colouring, and sweeteners.

Personally, I'd rather just squeeze a lemon and lime into my water than this...but, hey, who am I to judge?

Oh dear, hurrican Sandy is set to slam Florida. Hope you get out safely!

I am home ahead of the hurricane. I'm not sure Sandy would've hit anywhere near us, but I'm glad to be away from it. The US media are now calling storm that will follow Sandy the "Frankenstorm" because it will be nasty and will last through Halloween. Good to be home.

Good to hear you're OK. Hope you got to see a lot of sun prior.
