Apparently I am lacking in Olympic fever.
Last night, talking to my sister and she said (excitedly) "Tomorrow night is the opening ceremonies" and I thought "mmeh".
Just now, my colleague was telling me how she decided to reschedule an appointment because it was going to run late and she wouldn't be home in time to watch the opening ceremonies. And I thought "mmeh".
I'm sure I'll come around to it.

I think I'll take the in-laws groc shopping instead--
I've been looking forwad to it all winter...I have reserved one ginourmous screen at my local bar down the street to watch and seevral people are popping in and out over the evening. We once made a drinking game out of those schmaltzy meet the plucky competitors packages the networks try to force feed us each time.
Oh and yes I always lose the drinking game because this lightweight drinker is out on two!
Maybe I should try that drinking game thing...
OK, Winter games addict here - I've even bought the extra package from the pay TV provider so I get 4extra channels of it all.....see you when the games finish!!!! The PR guys for our team are talking up our medal chances too, which is pretty easy when you consider we only won 2 last time.
(but how sad about the guy who died practising on the luge)
Is it not surprising that more people don't die on the luge? I mean look at it and look what they do on it. It is insane.
The whole Georgian team must be so freaked out.
RIP Nodar Kumaritashvili.
Admission: I'll be watching only to see how the world media treats my old home city.
Proud declaration: I voted against the games in the 2003 Vancouver plebiscite.
Obvious fact: Vancouver is the only major Canadian city that doesn't experience winter weather.
Plus 10 degress and raining. That was the forecast I saw last night.
Of course BJB voted against the Games, you grew up here where I swear we are STILL paying for them...
