Happy Valentine's Day

MMMWAH! MMMWAH!

That's a couple of big two-cheeked Montreal kisses for all.

But, more importantly, re the Big Storm....

I may regret this prediction in about 12 hours from now, but I don't think it's going to be that bad around here

(Cut to: Nanuk and her shovel in a snowbank around 8:00 p.m. weakly shaking her fist at the sky.)

And this prediction of yours is based on what? Numerology?

Don't get me wrong. I hope you are correct.

Although I am beginning to think that les Québecois are fast becoming wusses in the weather department. They announced all these school closings before the first flake even fell. Why, in my day....

My fearless prediction is based on my morning commute. The blowing snow was a real pain, but the flakes are small and it just doesn't "feel" like 30 or 40 cm are coming this way.

(Now I will flip my chalk in the air like the late Percy Saltzman.)

And remember, in our day we used to walk MILES to school, not kilometres. A mile is much farther than a km.

You shoveled a pee place? Now, that is why I don't have a dog! What a good master you are. Aw.

But, you guys got Rob Marciano being his manly self in the storm. Things could be worse.

Happy V-Day to all!
I wish I knew what it was like to get snow. We might get an inch, then it turns to rain and the rain freezes and trees fall down all over the place and knock out the power. All we want is to build a snowman!

I'll take snow over an ice storm every time. Ice storms are the worst.

Meanwhile, its been around 36C here for the past few days and continuing - while I'm relaxing on beach this weekend, I'll try and imagine all that snow.......
