All the Fun Stuff Happens in Cleveland

"On Friday, October 20th, 2006, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum will unveil its latest exhibit, Revolution Rock: The Story of the Clash, with a weekend of Clash-related events. The exhibit – culled from the personal collections of members of the Clash and major collectors – will intimately document one of the most important punk bands in rock and roll history. Revolution Rock will be open to the public from October 21, 2006 to April 15, 2007 at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland, Ohio. "

So unfair.

Rumor has it that there will be a similar exhibition here for Patsy Gallant and Boule Noire. Certainly that should more than make up for things!

Now, now, no Boule Noire jokes. The man is dying. Feel free, however, to make all the Gregory Charles jokes you can think of.

My apologies to all...I had no idea B.N. was dying.

Thank God you apologized. I was bracing myself for a torrent of hate mail from all the thousands of Boule Noire fans who are regular readers of this fair blog.

Just today - not an hour ago and right across the street from the very office from whence this blog eminates - I got into a conversation about Patsy Gallant. And here I log onto the blog and see her name yet again. I refuse to turn on the radio tonight, as I know I will hear a PG song playing.

Only you could manage to get into conversations about Patsy Gallant. I must ask: were you pro-Patsy or anti-Patsy in this conversation? Or non-commital, sitting-on-the-fence about Patsy, perhaps?

OK, my view, for what its worth - whose Patsy Gallant? And I heard an Ann Murray song on the radio the other day - there's someone I'd forgotten about!

Can anyone truly be anti-Patsy????

note to susieq: is it safe to say (if you are in our age group) that you did not grow up in Quebec?

I was not anti-Patsy in the discussion, but sitting-on-the-fence. (anti-Patsy - did you have this in Italy?). The conversation started about who was in the original STARMANIE and branched out into other Quebec stars (well, Vedettes. Marjo got plenty more negative comments than Patsy, but none from me. And Nanette Workman sings backup on a few Rolling Stones songs, so no bad comments from me their either, but other people had some ).

Wow, this is a totally Quebecois conversation. I like Marjo, mainly because I really don't think she cares if people don't like her. I used to like Nanette, but she's had so much plastic surgery, she bothers me now.

What about the men of Starmania? Has there ever been a longer-lasting zero talent than Claude Dubois? bleh.

JAW, I hate to break it to you but, nobody in Australia has heard of Patsy. sorry.

By the way, this story is supposed to be about the Clash. Talk about getting hijacked!

Is now the right time to introduce Pagliaro into the conversation?
